Review: Funky White Lemon Ritter Sport

“Funky White Lemon” is one of the latest seasonal flavors (for summer 2024 along with Chill Out Creamy Milk) from our favorite chocolate square, Ritter Sport.
If you’ve seen my ranking of Ritter Sport bars, you know I’m not a big fan of Ritter Sport’s white chocolate. Even though—unlike most reasonable adults—I have nothing against white chocolate, I find the Ritter Sport ones to have an odd taste I don’t really like.
So, when I saw that Ritter Sport had not only released a new white chocolate bar, but had also described it as “funky”, I was prepared to be unimpressed.
Funky White Lemon is a white chocolate bar with a lemon-flavored mousse filling. For those unfamiliar with Ritter Sport, their mousse fillings are softer and creamier than the outer shell of the bar.
I was pleasantly surprised by Funky White Lemon. The sour but creamy citrus mousse filling works very well with the white chocolate exterior. It is creamy, but also light and summery, making it way too easy to house an entire bar.
The Verdict
Funky White Lemon is the best Ritter Sport white chocolate bar I’ve ever tried. That’s not actually saying much, considering I don’t really like the other ones, but this one IS good. Anyone who likes lemon desserts will love it.
